PPPocket Palette QAAPGB contrast checker

About & scope

A narrow preflight before real hardware testing.

Pocket Palette QA is an independent browser tool for inspecting APGB palette bytes and mechanical luminance relationships. It exists because a structurally valid palette can still make important objects hard to distinguish in a specific scene.

What it checks

The tool verifies the exact 56-byte layout and footer, shows all four four-color groups plus LCD-off, checks dark-to-bright ordering, and warns about low adjacent or object/background luminance separation.

What it cannot prove

It does not emulate a display, cartridge, core, firmware, game scene, color-vision condition, ambient light, or real device. A clear report only means the supported byte and luminance checks found no issue.

Independence

Pocket Palette QA is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by Analogue, Nintendo, or any hardware vendor. Product names are used only to describe the relevant file workflow.
